Academy for the Advancement of Teaching Assistants (AATA) Program
Starting Summer 2021
The Capital Region BOCES and the State University at Albany School of Education are partnering on a new initiative: The Academy for the Advancement of Teaching Assistants (AATA). The AATA program is designed to meet the needs of current teacher aides and/or teaching assistants who are interested in advancing their careers. The program is ideal also for moms looking to return to the workforce or individuals interested in a career change from corporate to classroom. The AATA program provides a unique opportunity to earn the educational and professional credentials required for teacher assistant certification through a variety of resources and supports delivered in a flexible format that combines online learning, seminars, and mentoring.
