Slack allows 1-on-1 chats, small group communication and work, or whole class discussions and announcements. Teachers can send announcements to students in Slack as well. There are also Android, iOS, Mac, Windows, and Web apps available to stay connected. The free version of Slack comes with a limit of 10’000 messages, 1-on-1 video calls, and 2-factor authentication for security.
