TeleTeaching with the NYS Master Teachers | Designing Labs to Help Students See Math & Science Connections

NYS Master Teachers based at SUNY Cortland dedicated themselves to collaborating across the Math-Science disciplines in order to help their students better see the connections between the STEM disciplines. The multi-year project, “Math Science Connections Through Labs,” focused on adapting science lab investigations to include grade-appropriate NYS Science and Math Learning Standards, and, if applicable, the NYS Computer Science Learning Standards. During this edTrends session, the teachers will share their modified labs, identifying the science standards that have embedded math concepts and the work they completed to make labs more interdisciplinary and meaningful for their students.
