Equitable Grading Practices
In this 15-hour mini-course, K-12 educators will analyze the intent of their grading philosophy and its impact on student learning. When educators unpack and understand how deeply held beliefs, attitudes and methods impact their educational practices and students’ wellbeing, only then can they begin to bridge the gap between current methods and future equity practices. In this course, students will evaluate their grading philosophies and explore equitable grading concepts through the introduction of the three pillars: Accurate, Bias Resistant, and Motivation outlined by Feldman (2019) in Grading for Equity.

HyFlex Teaching and Learning in K-12 Schools
This course will focus on flexible online and onsite K-12 education and the technology needed to create an innovative HyFlex learning space. HyFlex education is the future, providing learning opportunities in person, asynchronously, and synchronously online simultaneously. In light of the pandemic, more K-12 schools and institutions of higher learning in the United States and abroad are adopting this innovative structure, allowing participants to choose their learning experience and their learning environment (Beatty, 2019).
